During the 2020 election cycle, I was the campaign manager for Amani Johnson's candidacy. I began my role in June as the deputy campaign manager. In August, I received a promotion to the full-time position of campaign manager. 

Running as the youngest candidate, Amani had many odds stacked against him. Seven candidates ran for two trustee positions, with two incumbents running for reelection. Due to COVID-19, my focus was on developing and implementing a successful digital strategy. Cultivating public awareness, engaging community members, researching the target audience, and using captivating advertisements proved to be successful tactics. On Election Night, Amani, with the most votes, secured the role of Trustee-Elect for Southfield School Board. 

Search Engine Optimization, Content Management Systems, target audience research, Facebook Ads, social media analytics, and project management are a few areas in which I excelled. 

My proficiency in email marketing, proofreading, writing, social media management, and graphic design increased the campaign's reach exponentially which was reflected in the analytics.
